FALSE LIGHT

Date of release: 2025

It is the glow that draws us forward, a promise of salvation, of change, of a better world. It isn’t real. It flickers from distant screens, illusions of control, half-truths wrapped in comfort. And yet… We move toward it.

It is the internal reckoning between hopelessness and purpose. It’s what it means to work, to change, to become, in a time where the outcome no longer matters.

FALL OF GIANTS

Date of release: 2023

“[…] As for the new world war that's waiting in the womb of time, a healthily developed fetus, who can say what will spark it, how destructive it will be? We've already played at this war in film and fiction, indicating that there's a part of us that desperately wants it. What nonsense writers and filmmakers talk when they say that their terrible visions are meant as a warning. [...] It's sheer wish fulfillment. War... is a culture pattern. It's a legitimate mode of cultural transmission....”

- Anthony Burgess, 1985

MOBULA

Date of release: 2021

Mobula has one theme: The sea. The reason is simple, aquatic ecosystems are highly delicate and intricate systems on Earth, supporting a substantial source of the planet's biological diversity and playing a pivotal role in upholding life on our blue planet. Over 80% of the world’s ocean is unexplored and I truly think it is better that way.

ENCLOSURE

Date of release: 2020

Exploring quite a few themes such as life, death,  choices and consequences, also heavily influenced by progressive and technical death metal bands, this EP (and first release by Tales of Modernity) came out during a difficult time for a lot of people. Its writing process helped me focus on something else and was a gateway to experimentation for each album that followed.
