More than just a musical project

Hi ! I’m Jason and I'm a classically trained, bedroom musician based in France. I primarily specialize in composing post-rock and post-metal music, although I like to delve into sound design projects on occasion.

My musical journey took off in 2018 as an experimental exploration, fusing diverse genres like progressive, math, and post-metal to create unique atmospheres.

First, came in 2021 the Enclosure EP (which is actually one 22 minutes song). Drawing inspiration from progressive bands such as Devin Townsend or Meshuggah, this project marked a significant milestone in my musical endeavours.

Building on this momentum, the release of my LP, Mobula, in 2021 signalled a departure from confines of a singular genre, embracing a wide array of musical influences. Featuring tracks oscillating between ethereal atmospheric passages and adrenaline-pumping riffs, Mobula epitomized my foray into uncharted musical territories.

Subsequently, April 2023 saw the launch of Fall Of Giants, another significant addition to my musical repertoire.

Most of Tales of Modernity’s artwork is either crafted by myself or through collaboration with the talented Lou Greboval, without whom this website probably wouldn’t exist as it is.
